Actually, getting in has everything to do with how competitive you are for the service you select. On your interview day you rank the services you would like to be placed in. UPHS is very difficult to get as there are only 5-6 slots a year and they fill first.

The admissions process occurs and is initiated by the school. I only know of one student who did this. I think that he is in his third year at USUHS now. I hope this sheds some light... I apologize for the vague answer. Maybe someone else can add to what I know. I will say that the admissions office staff at USUHS are extremely helpful.
